(mensagem recebida no WebSite da Secção)
We would like to thank you for the support that you have shown to the Greek Presidency?s initiative on e-vote. Your concerns and recommendations have been included as much as possible in the process of EU meetings and debates. George A. Papandreou, Greek Foreign Minister and EU President in office, has regularly shared the results of e-Vote with his colleagues in the Council of Ministers, the Commission, and the European Parliament. The same will happen with the Heads of State and Government at the European Council in Thessaloniki on 21-22 June.
For the Thessaloniki Summit, we have developed a new feature and we ask your support for this one as well. When you visited the site http://evote.eu2003.gr, you were invited not only to reply to pre-determined questions with multiple-choice answers, but also to submit your own questions and comments to European leaders and other e-Voters. This was the e-Voice section.
24 questions, suggested by you and selected by you through a voting process, will be posed to the leaders for their response. You will have to follow the next steps:
Click on this link http://evote.eu2003.gr/evote/eVoices.stm to go to the e-Vote web site
Once there, select an e-Voice poll from the menu
Select 3 questions (required)
Click on the link "Vote" at the bottom of the page
Repeat steps 2-4 as many times as you like
The pre-selection of the questions has been made by us according to the following criteria:
For each poll and country we ranked word usage (words with more than 4 characters).
We then selected posted questions based on the number of high usage words.
We hope that you will join again to the new feature that we have added which aims at bringing directly your questions with your own wording to the leaders of the EU. The leaders' responses to your selected questions will be available on the site immediately after the Thessaloniki Summit.
